Patient education materials
To provide parents with information about their child's condition and treatment, the Ophthalmology team has developed a series of patient education materials:
Visiting the Eye Clinic
Learning to see
Wearing an eye patch
Droopy eye lids
Dilating eye drops
Eye exam under anesthetic
Opening your child's tear passages
Glaucoma in children
Surgery for strabismus
These materials are set up to print on a home computer, using letter size paper.
To view more of the hospital's patient education materials, visit the online Patient Education Library. Go to www.hamiltonhealthsciences.ca or www.mcmasterchildrenshospital.ca and click on "Patient Education".
Every six months we survey families to ask your perceptions of care.
If you have any concerns please contact Erin Jamieson, Clinical Manager.
