Dr. Sheri Findlay
Division head of Adolescent Medicine
Associate Professor with the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the McMaster Children's Hospital Eating Disorder Program
Dr. Sheri Findlay is the division head of Adolescent Medicine, an associate professor with the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the McMaster Children's Hospital Eating Disorder Program. She joined the faculty in March 1999 and has been working to develop the Eating Disorder Program and to increase exposure to adolescent health issues for medical students and post-graduate pediatric residents.
Dr. Findlay graduated from McGill University and did her pediatric residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. She then completed a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Since arriving at McMaster, Dr. Findlay has championed the development of an eating disorders program, in addition to co-organizing a group of clinicians (MacKids Grow Up Committee) looking at improving the care delivered to teens and youth at the hospital.
As President of the Adolescent Health Section of the Canadian Pediatric Society, Dr. Findlay was guest editor of a dedicated adolescent issue of Pediatrics and Child Health. She is Vice-Chair of the Adolescent Medicine Specialty Committee of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
