Dr. Natasha Johnson

Dr. Natasha Johnson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. Since joining McMaster in 2006, Dr. Johnson has provided care for children and adolescents - including those with eating disorders.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of McGill University. After finishing her residency (including a year as Chief Resident) at the Montreal Children's Hospital in 2001, she completed a two-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. During that time, her main clinical focus was in the area of adolescent eating disorders. She worked with inpatients, outpatients as well as patients enrolled in the day-treatment program.
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Johnson worked as a staff physician in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children while working part-time as a general pediatrician at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital, the regional pediatric centre in her community. In a book published by Sick Kids' Hospital entitled: Help for Eating Disorders: A Parent's Guide to Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments, she authored the chapter about the medical complications of eating disorders.
