Dr. Sherry Van Blyderveen
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Sherry Van Blyderveen, C. Psych., is a clinical psychologist working with the Pediatric Eating Disorders Program at McMaster Children's Hospital and an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) with the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University, and an associate member of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences and the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour. She completed her Predoctoral Clinical Psychology training with the Child and Family Program at McMaster Children's Hospital, received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University, and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Dr. Van Blyderveen's clinical role with the Pediatric Eating Disorders Program includes conducting psychological assessments and providing both family and individual therapy. She has also co-developed a number of group therapy protocols used by the program. Dr. Van Blyderveen also leads the ongoing program evaluation research associated with the Pediatric Eating Disorders Program.
