Recommended Reading for Parents

Parents

The clinic recognizes that there is often a significant waiting time before you are able to access our services. Parents often find it helpful to do some reading prior to their visit to the Eating Disorders Clinic. While there are many books available on eating disorders, we have found that the books listed below are most suitable for parents who have children under 18 years old.

Help Your Teenager Beat an Eating Disorder.(2004) James Lock, Daniel LeGrange.  The Guilford Press. New York.  ISBN:1-57230-908-3

For Bulimia:

Overcoming Bulimia Workbook.(2003). Randi McCabe, Traci McFarlane, Marion Olmstead.New Harbinger Publication. ISBN: # 9-781572 243262.
