Simulation & Outreach Program

The Simulation & Outreach Program supports simulation-based education and research throughout McMaster Children's Hospital.  Our program provides resuscitation courses for infants and children, both in-house and at partner organizations throughout the region.  Our resuscitation course offerings include the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  To support care of technology-dependent patients in the community, our program provides tracheostomy care and ventilation training to healthcare professionals through our Community Respiratory Care training program.
